Some Real-Time IT Value scenarios are in the form of an ROI analysis; others provide a TCO analysis. What information is provided with each?
Real-Time ROI: Gives you costs and benefits of a planned technology solution. You specify your workload, current IT environment, and future IT plans. Real-time ROI lays out your costs over 3 or 5 years for nine categories, including software, personnel, professional services, and more. In addition, it shows where you will get your financial benefits, and highlights the risks.
Real-Time TCO : Provides you with a side-by-side comparison of two options, typically based on different operating systems. Again, you specify your workload, current IT environment, and future IT plans. Real-time TCO then compares costs for the two alterative solutions, to see where you major spending and savings will occur with each option.
With both analyses you receive:
- One-page SnapShot analysis (see a sample ROI or TCO SnapShot)
- Project file, readable with the CIOview ROInow! or TCOnow! software
- Complementary presentation license of the ROInow! or TCOnow! software used to create your project
