TCOnow! for Windows Server Optimization helps you determine the optimal version of Microsoft Windows for your company. By answering a limited number of questions, TCOnow! will generate a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) comparison of two Windows versions (including NT4, Windows Server 2003 Standard, Enterprise or Datacenter, and Unix).

TCOnow! also establishes the optimal migration plan for NT4 applications and analyzes the financial implications of migrating applications off Solaris, AIX, and UX. It will even show you the nuances of Windows 2003 compared to Windows 2003 DataCenter. If you are trying to determine your optimal version of Microsoft Windows, then this is the product for you!

Interview Process:		Choose which versions you would like to compare. You may also select 1 of 5 server consolidation strategies, and 1 of 5 different workloads. Then choose 1 of 7 current environments and 1 of 5 server consolidation options. Select from 17 industry groups (see default costs for employee salaries, benefits, depreciation method and schedule, cots of capital, etc).

Results:		The software will combine your responses with our industry data to generate a financial and technical business case. It will automatically configure your optimal servers, including partitioning and clustering when appropriate. The software will also provide capacity planning, even as changes to growth assumptions occur. You will also be able to obtain the pricing and performance on more than 500 different servers.

A Step Further:		Once you have reviewed your analysis, you can go back in and change any of your decisions, or the underlying assumptions to see how it affects your TCO model. This means you could change your availability requirements or server consolidation strategy and automatically see how those changes ripple throughout your model.
