TCOnow! for Windows Integration & Storage Consolidation helps you determine if it is possible to lower your Windows cost structure. By answering a limited number of questions, TCOnow! will generate a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) comparison of the cost of standalone Intel servers (clustered if necessary) using either internal storage, networked attached or a SAN compared to the cost of running an Intel/iSeries combination. TCOnow! will determine your optimal hardware platform, system configuration and generate a side-by-side cost comparison.

TCOnow! can shrink a typical multi-week project into a matter of hours. This accelerated analysis is made possible because the software is packed with data on servers, software, network, and downtime. Interview Process:		You will be able to choose from 1 of 3 consolidation strategies and 1 of 10 different workload characteristics. Select which of 4 different platform options you wish to compare. Choose from 17 industry groups (see the default costs for employee salaries, benefits, depreciation method and schedule, cost of capital, etc).

Results:		The software will generate a financial and technical business case. It will include the configuration for the optimal servers, including partitioning and clustering when appropriate. It will also automatically select the best storage option.

A Step Further:		Once you have reviewed your analysis, you can go back in and change any of your decisions, or the underlying assumptions. This means that you can change your server consolidation strategy to see how it affects the TCO model. It also means that you could change availability requirements, or see how deploying a cluster changes the total costs.
